Freedom of the Press: New Challenges in an Era of Distrust
and Fake News

This program will provide attendees with three dynamic panel presentations concerning the freedom of the press. The program is designed for a broad audience, including educators and members of the legal community. For members of the legal community, the program should qualify for CLE credit. Written materials include sample of digital citizenship instructional materials for educators.

Topics include: Historical Overview of the Freedom of the Press; Modern Challenges Facing the Freedom of the Press; The Reality of Newsgathering and Reporting Today; and Toward a “Digital Citizenship” Tool-Kit.
